Dan Avidan is a singer and comedian who provides lead vocals for Ninja Sex Party. The musical comedy duo has released seven albums, including Strawberries and Cream (2013) and Under the Covers (2016), since 2011. Avidan performs under the stage name of Danny Sexbang with collaborator Brian Wecht, also known as Ninja Brian. Avidan met Wecht through a mutual friend, and the duo has been performing in front of audiences worldwide for nearly a dozen years. Their YouTube channel has 1.33 million subscribers. They also work together with Arin Hanson on a side project band called Starbomb. The group has released three Billboard-charting albums to date.
Dan Avidan grew up in New Jersey and, after studying advertising at Boston University, decided to change course and dedicate his life to music. He became part of the New York comedy scene after taking improv classes at the Upright Citizens Brigade in 2008 and soon worked with producer William J. Sullivan to compose themes and background music for shows like Power Rangers RPM and White Collar. Avidan has also developed and starred in a sketch comedy miniseries and co-wrote "Dick Figures: The Movie: The Song" for the Dick Figures: The Movie soundtrack through a partnership with Mondo Media.
Outside of his career in music and comedy, Dan Avidan is the co-host of the popular YouTube show Game Grumps and also hosts spin-off shows such as Table Flip, Steam Rolled, and Grumpcade. He can also be seen on the YouTube Premium series Good Game, which was released in 2017 and developed by fellow internet personalities Michele Morrow and Jesse Cox. In addition, he has appeared as himself in other web series such as Good Mythical Morning and YouTubers React.
Avidan lives in Los Angeles, California, with his girlfriend and their dog.
